The first one is a Thanksgiving grammar sort. Children will sort nouns, adjectives, and verbs. I used the same picture on all 3 so students will have to think in order to sort them. This freebie is part of my 3rd grade Common Core Thanksgiving packet. You can check out more information on it by clicking Here.

Thanks for hoppin' by Hopkins' Hoppin' Happenings. Keep on smiling!
Thanks Brian. Though this is geared towards 3rd grade, I can use it in my guided reading groups.

First Grade and Fabulous
You are very welcome DeAnne! I know those are things we start introducing as early as Kindergarten (I know I did anyway!), but they should master it according to CCS by 3rd grade. I'm happy to hear that you are going to try it with your 1st graders! Brian
DeleteThanks Brian! I am going to use this as a center activity for some of my lower readers and ESOL students next week. I am your newest follower too!

Patti, you are welcome! I just followed you back. :-) I hope your students have fun sorting. I had several students last year in a short term in 5th grade that didn't know the difference between them so I bet it will work great with your students! Brian :-)
DeleteAwesome!! I'll share this with our ELA teachers! Thanks
