This week I got some great wonderful comments about my Lincoln's cabins that I've had up there since the week of President's Day. I'll have to try to remember to get some pictures before I take them off. I plan to do a St. Patrick's Day craft of some sort on Monday to pop up there. I was only able to put a few up due to a lot of glue that many used. I also have some cute Snowmen Glyphs on the wall that some teachers loved!
We went on a super fun field trip to see Frog and Toad the play! The two men who played Frog and Toad were simply fabulous at what they did. My Kindergarteners did a great job of sitting still and watching it for an hour and 10 minutes, plus having to wait 30 minutes before it started. That is not easy for 5 and 6 year olds, but they made me proud! I also had 5 wonderful chaperones, the most I have had for a field trip yet this year by far! They did a great job of helping!
My kids earned their 25 dog bones last week and they wanted to play board games so they brought in a board game from home and we played those games after the field trip. They had a blast! We are already working hard on our next 25!
We have also started growing bean plants in class. My kids are super excited each day when they come in and see how much their bean seeds have grown!!! Most of them have shot up big time, better than the one I did as an example go figure! Mine they can see the roots, which is really cool!
