Before I get to my tutoring fun from last Thursday, don't forget Teachers Pay Teachers and Teacher's Notebook both have sitewide sales going on for Teacher Appreciation Week. Find out more about that in my blog post HERE.
Last Thursday, I worked with the 1st grader on Adding and Subtracting with 3 Number Equations. I laminated the cards so she could write the answer right on the cards to make it more fun. I put them with a fun game board that comes with my sight word and sight word fluency games. The cards without the game board are FREE!!! Did I say FREE? Yup! I appreciate you!
Silly me planned to work on more 2 digit addition regrouping with an Earth Day theme (as I didn't tutor last week), but I printed out the Subtraction ones instead. Oops! So we worked more with the Part Part Whole to 20 Love Bugs Task Cards. We worked on the last half of the cards that had the missing part that she had to solve. She used a dry erase marker to solve the equations. I put these with the Earth Day game board. That game board can be found with my 2 digit Addition, 2 Digit Subtraction, Multiplication, Sight Words, or Fluency Phrase Sight Word Race.
Next we worked on some Review 1st Grade Task Cards that include many skills I have worked with her on this school year. These skills include addition to 12, subtraction to 10, time to the 5 minutes, counting coins including quarters, identifying 10's and 1's, and least to greatest. There are more skills included in the set that we will work on this coming Thursday. I put these task cards with a Karate game board (she does Karate twice a week). Land on a Karate kid you get to go again. The game board is with my sight word and R Controlled Vowel Race games.
Thanks for hoppin' by Hopkins' Hoppin' Happenings! Keep on smiling!
