For some reason it is not allowing me today to put a link in the picture so please click the hyperlinks if you want to check any of these out. Thank you!
Last Wednesday, I started out working on multiplying by 4 using my new Strawberries Multiplication Race with the 2nd grader. Land on a space with a number and you can have the student go forward that many spaces or backwards! Depends if you want a quicker game or a shorter game so I left that option to you! It also includes some fun cards that you can use if you would like. This game covers all of the multiplication facts in the 3rd grade standards.
Next we worked on putting numbers in the thousands in order from least to greatest using my Stars Number Order In The Thousands Task Cards. There are 10 sets in all.
We then worked on A.M. or P.M. using my Telling Time A.M. or P.M. Task Cards. This was a skill her mom said she sometimes has difficulty with. I put it with a game board like I usually do in tutoring to make it more fun. A board game is not included. You can use these as traditional task cards. A recording sheet and answer key are included with the 24 cards.
We finished tutoring doing a few more problems with giving back change. I focused on amounts where dollars weren't needed last week. You can see it in action from the last tutoring session HERE.
Thank you for hoppin' by Hopkins' Hoppin' Happenings! Keep on smiling!
