Happy Tuesday! Kids here in Central Florida are already back in school! Has school started where you live? Let me know in the comments!
We switched tutoring to Mondays from Wednesdays last week. I will still be posting a recap of the fun things we did on Tuesday for the previous Monday (the week before) to give me time to take pictures and write the blog post.
This week we started out reviewing multiplication by multiplying 0 through 5 by 11 or 12 using my Back to School Multiplication Race game. These cards have 0 facts all the way to 12 facts. I just print the ones who are working on! It comes with a fun game board.
Next we worked more on elapsed time by the hour and a half when given a clock that has the time to the hour or half hour. We used my Telling Time to the Hour and Half Hour Task Cards. I blogged about how I used those cards for Elapsed Time HERE.
We then worked on comparing numbers to the thousands and ten thousands using my Comparing Numbers to the Millions Task Cards. I put it with a game board that is not included, but you can use it as traditional task cards. If they are laminated students can write on them with a dry erase marker. It comes with a recording sheet and answer key.
We finished tutoring by me asking her how many days in a week, year, how many months, and converting inches to feet, feet to yards, quarts to gallons, etc.
As always thank you for hoppin' by Hopkins' Hoppin' Happenings! Keep on smiling!
